First Russian-American Jewish Solidarity Mission To Israel

300 Russian-speaking Jews from the US to embark on
8-day mission of solidarity with the State of Israel

Participants will visit Jewish Holy Sites - Will meet with members of Israeli Knesset and Government Representatives - For the first time in the history of GA, will march on the Solidarity Rally in Jerusalem

November 3rdFarewell Ceremony in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY - November 3rd at 6:30 PM, a reception will be held to celebrate the commitment of 300 Russian-speaking Jews to an 8-Day Mission of Solidarity with Israel. The reception will honor this unprecedented act of solidarity as well as the individual participants. The participants will cover all of their travel expenses, which serves to accentuate their true dedication to the goal of this mission. The Mission will depart from New York City on November 11th, 2003.

This Mission was brought to life through the untiring efforts of The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), The Council of Jewish émigré Community Organizations (COJECO), Russian American Jews for Israel (RAJI) and with the blessing of Israeli Ministry of Tourism. Travel arrangements have been provided by Green Light Tours in Brooklyn and Diamond Tours in Queens.

Honorary guest speakers will address the participants during the November 3rd ceremony. The following are scheduled to appear: Consul of Ministry of Tourism of Israel in New York - Haim Gutin-Golan, Director of the Israel Center of the Jewish Agency in Brooklyn - Ronnie Vinnikov, the President of COJECO - Feliks Frenkel, the Executive Director of COJECO - Alec Brook-Krasny, the President of RAJI - Professor Igor Branovan, and others.
