The Jewish Agency for Israel has embarked on a program to encourage Jewish doctors from the Former Soviet Union to immigrate to Israel in conjunction with the Ministries of Absorption, Health and Education. At the completion of this one year program these doctors will receive Israeli accreditation.

The first session of this new program was inaugurated at the Jewish Agency's Beit Canada Absorption Center in Ashdod with the participation of Jewish Agency Chairman, Natan Sharansky; Minister of Immigrant Absorption, Ms. Sofa Landver; MK and Director General of the Jewish Agency`s Immigration and Absorption Department, Eli Cohen.
