Location
A thriving, upscale city in the heart of the Sharon, Ra’anana was first established by Jewish pioneers from the
United States. Today Ra’anana is a flourishing city attracting native Israelis and veteran and new immigrants
from all over. Her trademark is one of tolerance and mutual respect, community life and volunteerism. The
professional management of the municipality, excellent educational system, beautiful parks and gardens, and
outstanding cultural programs all make the city of Ra'anana the "Pearl of the Sharon," and the Ra’anana
Absorption Center the "Jewel in the Crown."

Since its establishment in 1922 Ra’anana has consistently attracted immigrants, whether because of its
pluralistic reputation, central location or high standard of living. Many of the 78,000 residents hail from
France, England, the US, Canada, South Africa, and Russia.

Ra'anana is a short bus or car ride from Tel Aviv, the business and financial capital of Israel.

Accommodation
Each of its one- and two-bedroom apartments has a kitchenette, bathroom, enclosed storage balcony, and basic furnishings. Note: singles are assigned shared apartments, with two occupants per room. The facility also includes a communal lounge, computer room, and recreation room.
