Illustrated cards
The bright and attractive graphic illustrations are used in everyday instruction, for games and activities.
The cards come in two sizes; a larger version for classroom instruction and games, and smaller cards for individual or small group games and activities e.g. lotto, dominoes.
* The cards are used to introduce new words to the children through sound and visualization.
* When learning a new language, word recall can be difficult.
The illustrated cards help a child recall the words s/he knows in Hebrew. For example, having learned to say the verb "want" pictures of milkshake, cake and a banana will help the child construct a whole sentence – such as "I want a cake", "Who wants a banana?", "Do you want milkshake or banana?".
* The illustrated cards include the name of the object depicted written in Hebrew.
The program does not teach Hebrew reading, but through the cards the children come into contact with the written language and a concept of what the language looks like.
